鲑鱼酮吗?
Yes, salmon is keto! Thisfishis a great source of healthy fats (including omega-3 fatty acids) and碳水化合物在鲑鱼are low, making it an ideal choice for those looking to follow the keto diet.
Most keto salmon recipes lean toward heavier dairy ingredients like butter, cream cheese, heavy cream, or parmesan cheese. This one is lighter and doesn’t need any of those, but if that’s the type of recipe you are looking for, try myTuscan salmon(which has a creamy sauce withsun-dried tomatoesand spinach) orparmesan crusted salmoninstead.
What sets this salmon apart from other glazed recipes is that the keto salmon glaze usesWholesome Yum Keto Honey!普通蜂蜜是过高的碳水化合物酮,但是this honey substitute has absolutely 0g net carbs — and it tastes, bakes and drizzles just like honey does for the same great flavor and texture.
Ingredients & Substitutions
This section explains how to choose the best ingredients for keto honey glazed salmon, what each one does in the recipe, and substitution options. For measurements, see therecipe card below.
- Salmon– King, coho, sockeye, and pink salmon filets are the best choices forbaking salmon(click the link to learn more about selecting it). I prefer wild-caught fish, but any kind works.
- Sea Salt & Black Pepper
- Wholesome Yum Keto Honey– Sincecarbs in honeyare too high, this is the best keto-friendly swap that pours and tastes like the real thing. It makes an unbelievable sweet, sticky salmon glaze without the sugar!
- Coconut Aminos– I prefer this gluten-freesoy sauce substitute, but you can also usesoy sauce on ketoif you tolerate it (preferably low-sodium for this recipe).
- Spices– You will needgarlic powder, regular orsmoked paprika, andground ginger(optional). You could also include a sprinkle of red pepper flakes for some heat.
- Olive Oil– You can also use avocado oil, or any oil you prefer.
How To Make Keto Salmon
This section shows how to make the best keto salmon recipe, with step-by-step photos and details about the technique, to help you visualize it. For full instructions, including amounts and temperatures, see therecipe card below.
- Prep.Preheat the oven to the Broil setting. If your oven has multiple broil settings select the high one (or whatever is 500 degrees F on your oven).
- Season the salmon.Pat salmon fillets dry with paper towels. Season both sides with salt and pepper.
- Make the glaze. In alarge bowl, use whisk together the keto honey, coconut aminos, olive oil, smoked paprika, garlic powder, and ground ginger (if using).
- Marinate the salmon.Add salmon to the bowl and turn pieces to coat in the glaze. Marinate in the refrigerator for at least 10 minutes, up to 1 hour. Turn the salmon pieces in the marinade to coat well before cooking.
- Arrange.Place salmon in alarge baking dish(or a rimmed baking sheet lined with parchment paper), leaving spaces between the fillets. Brush any glaze left in the bowl over the top of the fish.
- Broil.Cook keto salmon in the oven, about 6 inches from the heating element. See tips below for the best way to avoid overcooking it.
- Garnish.I like to serve this with sliced green onions on top, but fresh parsley would work if you don’t have any green onions on hand.
Tips For The Best Keto Salmon
- Pat dry before seasoning and marinating. This helps the glaze penetrate the salmon better and helps lock in moisture while cooking.
- Marinate at room temperature. This lets your salmon come to room temp while it’s marinating, which is ideal for cooking evenly. I don’t recommend marinating for longer than 1 hour.
- If your salmon has skin, cook skin side down.Baking keto salmon with skin will also make it more flavorful, so if your salmon has skin, don’t remove it. You can always choose not to eat it if you don’t like it.
- Don’t overcook. The best way to avoid dry fish is to use ameat thermometerto check the internal temperature of the fish. For perfect salmon that isn’t dry, the ideal internal temperature is 135-140 degrees F (57-60 degrees C). If you don’t have one, you can test that it flakes easily with a fork and still looks moist inside.
Storage Instructions
- Store:To maximize freshness, wrap keto baked salmon tightly in plastic wrap and aluminum foil, or transfer to an airtight container and place it in the refrigerator. It will last 3-4 days.
- Meal prep:Mix the glaze ahead, but do not marinate the fish (it will get mushy if it marinates longer than 1 hour). Bake the day-of, or bake ahead of time and reheat later.
- Reheat:Place salmon on a baking sheet and bake for about 10 minutes, until warm. The microwave also works, but the fish will be more dry.
- Freeze:Store low carb salmon in a freezer bag for up to 6 months. Thaw overnight in the fridge before reheating.

0I would like to make this dish but was wondering how I would do it without broiling. I would prefer to bake, roast, saute, or air fry instead. How would I adjust the recipe instructions? I just bought your honey for the first time, and I want to do the recipe correctly.
Thanks.
